# sendTransaction <TitleWithCodeLink2 link="sendTransaction" />
Sends TRX from one address to another. Will create and broadcast the transaction if a private key is provided.

>
> Do not use this in any web / user-facing applications. This will expose the private key.

## Usage
```js
tronWeb.trx.sendTransaction(toAddress, amount);
```

## Parameters
| Parameters | Parameter Description                                                                                                          | Data Type              |
|------------|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|------------------------|
| to         | Address to send TRX to.                                                                                                        | Hex String             |
| amount     | Amount of TRX to send (units in SUN)                                                                                           | Integer (units in SUN) |
| privateKey | Optionally provide a private key to sign the transaction. If left blank, will use the address associated with the private key. | String                 |

## Return
Object - The object returned by `sendRawTransaction`.
